Poetry Aloud Competition

To celebrate the joy of speaking and listening to poetry, the National Library in association with Poetry Ireland is delighted to announce the POETRY ALOUD Poetry Speaking Competition for post-primary school students.Participants will be expected to speak the poems from memory. To coincide with the award winning exhibition Yeats: the life and times of William Butler Yeats which is running in the National Library, selected poems by Yeats will feature in the first round of the competition.
