International Literature Festival Dublin (ILFD) is now seeking proposals for its 2024 programme edition responding to the theme of Words Upside Down.
Artists, creative practitioners and collectives from all arts backgrounds are invited to submit event proposals responding to the theme and suitable for presentation at ILFD’s new tented literary village in one of Dublin City’s finest parks, Merrion Square.
This year ILFD encourage proposals which embrace curiosity and wonder, spark conversation or new ways of listening. They are especially interested in work that will bring its audience in close contact with either the natural or the artificial world (or both). They are looking for work that will thrill, challenge, and empower audiences; above all, they welcome concepts that break away from traditional literary event format.
Only applications from artists based on the island of Ireland can be accepted. Proposals which cater for audiences ages 16+ are welcome. Successful applicants will be supported by the festival team to bring their ideas to life during this year’s programme which will be presented in Dublin City’s Merrion Square Park, running 17 – 26 May 2024.
Deadline for applications is Monday 11th of March, 5pm.
