Literary Grandmothers : Writing Family Histories

Morrissy and Sikmashvili will facilitate a creative writing workshop in poetry and fiction exploring the themes of archive and family history.
Morrissy was the first Poet in Residence at the National Library of Ireland, where she worked extensively with archival materials for her poetry pamphlet Radical! Women and the Irish Revolution. Sikmashvili has taught at the University of Michigan and Hewes House NYC. This 90-minute workshop is open to all levels, and is a unique opportunity to experiment across genres while exploring family histories.
