Irish Writers Centre Anthology: Open Call for Submissions

The Irish Writers Centre is inviting submissions for a special anthology to celebrate its 35th anniversary and the writers who have shaped the organisation. The anthology will feature work by 35 writers, including short stories, poetry and essays.

Writers affiliated with the Irish Writers Centre are invited to submit previously unpublished work for consideration. Eligible applicants include Irish Writers Centre members, programme participants, mentors, facilitators and others connected with the Centre. The anthology will include 35 contributors anonymously selected by a panel of internal and external judges. Selected contributors will receive a fee of €250 and a complimentary copy of the anthology. Prose submissions should be no longer than 1,500 words, while poetry submissions should be one poem of up to 60 lines. Work can be submitted in English or Irish.

Deadline: Monday 6 July 2026, 5pm.
