
Bloomsday with Dublin City Council Libraries
11 - 17 June 2026
Every 16th June, Dublin celebrates Bloomsday, the annual literary festival honouring James Joyce’s Ulysses and its protagonist Leopold Bloom. As part of the celebrations, Dublin City Libraries are hosting a series of Bloomsday events and activities across the city, including performances, readings and talks celebrating Joyce’s life and work.

Check out the following Bloomsday inspired events taking place in libraries to celebrate Joyces iconic novel.
- Central Library - 'Ulysses Ballads' with the JoyceStagers on Thursday 11 June at 1.30pm
- Pearse Street Library - Ghost Signs of Ulysses with Historian in Residence Antonia Hart on Thursday 11 June at 6pm
- Central Library - James Joyce agus a raibh de Ghaeilge ina thimpeall ar an 11 de Mheitheamh, 6.30pm
- Central Library - Bloomsday performance with Sonaírí and Maja Elliott on Friday 12 June at 12pm
- Charleville Mall Library - Ghost of Joyce – Script Reading on Tuesday 16 June at 3pm
- Dolphin's Barn Library - 'Ulysses Ballads' with the JoyceStagers on Wednesday 17 June at 6.30pm
