Dublin Small Press Fair - Young Blood: Class x Masculinity in Contemporary Poetry
29th November, 4pm
Pearse Street Library

What does it mean to be a young, working-class male writer in contemporary Ireland?
This year's inaugural Dublin Small Press Fair will close out with a very special panel discussion featuring poets Charles Lang, Rafael Mendes and Matthew Rice, chaired by writer Eoin McNamee.
Through this conversation, panelists are invited to explore the intersections between class and masculinity; a crossroads rarely discussed in public fora, or even on the sidelines of discourse around literature and poetry.
Join us for this important and timely conversation that will undoubtedly chime with the debates about young men and masculinity that currently dominate our airwaves, and with broader discussions on shifting gender roles, economic precarity, and the role of the arts and creativity in an increasingly unstable political landscape.
This event is free to attend and is presented in association with Poetry Ireland.
