'Enjoying her enjoyment': Irish women's cultural lives in the 1950s

Historian in residence Dr Antonia Hart discusses Irish women's everyday experiences of culture and media during the fifties. How did new music, paintings, books, films, radio programmes, magazines, and food bring pleasure and the excitement of modernity to Irish women's lives at a time when society was deeply traditional and conservative, and the economy was struggling?
